The years go by so quickly — from diapers to college applications, this parenthood thing is a blur. Small, tender moments of yesteryears can sometimes be replaced with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and it’s easy to take time for granted.
Stolen kisses on babies’ heads. A loving look between busy parents. Exhausted giggles after an epic game of tag. Mischievous grins between siblings. A big, beautiful life is made up of these tiny, fleeting moments. My role is to help you slow down, embrace these moments, and help time stand still in a photograph you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
I know how important these family sessions are to you. It’s so much more than an excuse to get dressed up and have something to hang up on the wall. It’s about capturing those genuine smiles that make your heart want to burst, the tiny hands that just keep growing, and making sure you always remember what this time was like.
That’s why I pour extra care into curating the perfect family photo session, which starts with choosing a location that helps your family’s story and personality shine. Then, in our hour-long session, we’ll do all the things that make you, you. Maybe we’ll play a game of tag, explore some nearby raspberry bushes, or sneak in some cuddles with Grandma. After all — life happens in these vibrant, irreplaceable moments.
As a mama to my own two little spitfires, Emelia and Dani, I probably don’t need to tell you that motherhood is the most amazing, rewarding, and crazy thing I’ve ever done. And it’s those fleeting moments where my wife Leigha and I can glance at each other amidst all the chaos, our faces full of love (and a little bit of that WTF factor), that I wish I could just hit pause and grab on to every detail.
That’s what I love most about what I do: helping you hold on to those subtle moments that make up a beautiful life.
$100 booking fee is due upon scheduling your session. Balance is due on day of the session.
While prints and packages are not included in the package price, optional add-on products such as canvas prints or wall collages can also be added. Please inquire for details and pricing.
“My wife and I liked that it was very informal and the kids were allowed to run around when they became restless and Wendy worked a lot of her shots around that. She did an excellent job. She was awesome with our two somewhat fussy boys. Very friendly and flexible with the location. The result was some of the best photos we have ever had of our family.”
"My biggest fear was that our daughter would be fussy the whole time and we wouldn’t be able to get any decent shots. Wendy was more than accommodating though and let us take the time we needed to make sure she felt comfortable. She also made the most of our candid moments which turned out to be some of the best photos!"
"Thank you soo much Wendy! They are beautiful as always. I am sure you hear it all the time but I’m amazed how you can just capture the best moments in a mini session with a non cooperating toddler. I'm so grateful for your talent! "
"Wendy is awesome at what she does. She's so fun, silly, and makes you feel so comfortable. The resulting photos are so real and beautiful. They're the photos I always wanted for my little family."
"Wendy is not your classic just sit there and smile type photographer, she is always looking for new and interesting ways to capture the essence of the people she is taking pictures of. Her pictures are amazing, she is very easy to work with, and her prices are very reasonable for the time and care she provides."
Absolutely! Family sessions make a perfect gift for anyone. Please reach out here to inquire about gift certificates.
Solid colored, well-fitting clothing works best. Keep patterns or visible name brands or graphics to a minimum. I want the full attention to be on your expressions and smiling faces. For family portraits, coordinating colors are often flattering, although not required. Above all—be yourself, be comfortable and wear what you would normally wear!
I’m a mom, too, and I know that getting little ones to cooperate when you want them to, can be difficult sometimes. But I promise that your photo session doesn’t have to be stressful and that I’m here to help this be a fun experience for the whole family.
I typically work slowly with children at first, to warm them up to the day. When I fell they are comfy and ready, I’ll take time for a separate one-on-one session to get them even more comfortable in front of the camera. This usually results in a playful connection where I’m able to read their behavior and temperament. It’s always best to work with their mood. If they don’t feel like sitting still, we’ll let them run and play! The most successful sessions are ones where there is little to no direction to: “sit and smile at the camera”.
Don’t worry! Making you feel at ease is my job. It's not about polished poses and being pristine. The best photographs are created when you're being yourselves and having fun with one another. I'll help direct you and offer guidance to ensure you receive a good variety of quality images — and I’ve even been known to goof around and tell silly jokes to lighten that feeling of awkwardness ;).
I sure can. I’ve photographed family sessions all over the island and can recommend many locations to best suit the look or style that you’re after, the size of your family, and/or age of your children.

Yes, of course! I love animals and welcome the addition of furry family members into your photos. Please let me know in advance if you’d like to incorporate your little buddies.
Yes! There’s no set number of people that can take part in a family session, and grandparents can be included at no extra cost. However, please keep in mind that this will likely mean fewer one-on-one shots of you with your littles. Please let me know in advance how many family members will be attending your session.

You don’t have to wait for a ‘special occasion’ to book your family session. A life spent raising babies is a special occasion. Let’s capture it.
Family sessions book quickly during summer and fall months. I recommend booking your appointment 3-4 weeks in advance.
